Eternal Gratitude

O Divine Mother

Let me offer all this day (and every day) the thousand imperfections that still dog me, the errant thoughts, not mine but those that I have allowed to enter, the illusions that persist, the recalcitrance of the many parts of this being, take all into thy boundless self that I may be free to surrender in joy and strength and gratitude.  I know that without thee I am nothing and the world is naught but an empty void in the deeps of space,  You, Lord have chosen it as the home of the mightiest souls and, as you have written in Savitri,, the spirits manifest home.

As I climb the stairs to thy room, following in the footsteps of thousands who have offered their lives to thee I ask that my gratitude be integral, an all-consuming fire of devotions that allows no thought but only of thee, no desire save the one that asks to be thine, no movement of the consciousness not informed by thee.

The emerald beauty of the Service Tree whose branches sweep toward earth shading and protecting the long lines of devotees who come from the far reaches of the earth to pay homage, ask for thy help, offer their thanks in prayers, sing of thy constant blessings and grace that is given to all who open to the Truth and aspire for the New Creation.

May I who have been given the supreme gift of caring for the Service Tree truly become thy servant, an instrument pure and prepared for any work, and know the joy of divine service.  Lord, I aspire to work in harmony with all, to see the Divine in all, to feel oneness and to love thee in all thy children.

The tsk before us is formidable but even more powerful is thy hand that uplifts, the Light that guides, the Force that enables.  This period of Ashram days soon closes with my return to the United States but the peace and the infinite blessings you have given shall never leave me, for they are my life without which I would be empty and alone.

Mother, I know beyond the knowing of the mind and all that thought can conceive, that thou art with us, physically and dynamically, to enlighten and transform, to nurture the growth of the psychic being, to cleanse our hearts and minds, conferring on us the Divine Grace that penetrates every cell of our being.  May our gratitude be eternal, a flame soaring to ty feet, our lives a sacred trust and offering to the Divine Life and the reign of the Supramental on earth.
